The Safety Partnership came into existence as a means to gather resources and expertise toward a common target – improved safety.
The responsibility for workplace safety is divided among many varied groups. Many of these groups work collaboratively on projects at various points in time. However, there had not been a sustained collaboration among the groups with a specific direction.
To address this issue, the Department of Workforce Development, Worker’s Compensation Division provided leadership in organizing these various groups into a Safety Partnership.
Currently, the Safety Partnership is composed of representatives from:
Wisconsin Council of Safety
Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce
Department of Health Services
Department of Public Instruction
Wisconsin State AFL-CIO
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
American Family Insurance
The Safety Partnership Committee works for safety – at work and at home.
